Help a Child, Heal a Soul
Providing safe spaces while speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. ~ Psalm 82:4
Innocence Freed is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of child trafficking through a holistic approach inspired by the love of God. The organization focuses on providing essential services such as aftercare program, therapy including equestrian, future residential housing and case management to those affected by human trafficking.
We invite you to join us in this vital mission. Whether through donations, volunteering, or attending one of our events, your support can significantly impact survivors’ lives. With your help, we can create a world where every individual is free from sexual exploitation and has the opportunity to live a fulfilling life. No matter how small, each action contributes to a larger movement toward justice and safety.
Innocence Freed stands out as the only nonprofit organization in the state of Nebraska that is providing a dedicated aftercare program for survivors of sex trafficking, encompassing both adults and minors. This unique position allows us to address a critical gap in services and support for trafficking survivors, ensuring they receive the comprehensive care they need for long-term recovery and reintegration into society.
Innocence Freed is dedicated to collaborating with other nonprofits across the nation that are tackling similar issues. We are enthusiastic about sharing our model with others, emphasizing that the empowerment of survivors transcends any single organization and centers entirely on the survivors themselves.
Innocence Freed believes in the power of collective action to make a difference. By working together, we can empower survivors to break free from the cycle of human trafficking, giving them the strength to thrive and succeed.
The mission is to create an environment that fosters healing through compassionate care and education, addressing individuals’ physical, emotional, and intellectual needs to support their recovery and growth.
Who does Innocence Freed Serve?
Innocence Freed is dedicated to serving female survivors of human trafficking of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs. Our compassionate, trauma-informed support is open to everyone, regardless of religion or personal convictions, as we work to provide a safe, healing environment for all survivors on their path to recovery.
Human trafficking is a severe violation of human rights involving the exploitation of individuals through coercion, fraud, or force for various purposes, including forced labor, sexual exploitation, and other forms of exploitation. It is a global issue affecting millions of people, particularly vulnerable populations, and is considered a form of modern-day slavery. Helping the voiceless is about providing a safe space for their stories to be heard, supporting their journey toward healing, and using our platforms to speak out against the injustices they face. It's a vital part of creating a world where everyone is valued, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

“Julie Shrader is a world-class leader in the fight against human trafficking and various forms of abuse. I have known her for several years, and she is a true warrior in this important fight, a tremendous advocate for survivors, and a caring service provider for all in need. I have seen first-hand how much she cares for victims and survivors of truly terrible crimes..crimes that would cause most to turn away and deny that anything like that could be happening in our country and in our world. Julie is an amazing leader and CEO, and it takes someone with a deep commitment to this cause to start a recovery home for women and children who have been trafficked. I urge all to check out Innocence Freed and find out how you can get involved to support.”
