- Summary: The U.S. Department of State’s 2023 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report provides a global overview of human trafficking, evaluating the anti-trafficking efforts of governments worldwide and assigning each country a tiered ranking based on their performance. The report highlights countries’ successes, challenges, and areas for improvement, categorizing them into four tiers: Tier 1 (best performance), Tier 2, Tier 2 Watch List, and Tier 3 (worst performance).
