Federal Funding Pause does not affect Innocence Freed
In light of President Donald Trump‘s recent executive order to pause federal funding for various nonprofit organizations, many in our community have expressed concern about how this may impact Innocence Freed’s mission. We want to assure you that our operations remain unaffected, as we do not rely on federal funding.
The executive order, issued on January 27, 2025, directed federal agencies to temporarily halt the disbursement of financial assistance to certain programs, including those related to foreign aid and nongovernmental organizations. This pause was intended to allow the administration to review funding allocations in line with its priorities. apnews.com
While this directive has introduced uncertainty for many nonprofits, Innocence Freed operates independently of federal funds. Our unwavering commitment to supporting both adult and child survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation is made possible through the generous contributions of our supporters.
We are profoundly grateful for the prayers, donations, and unwavering support from individuals like you. Your contributions empower us to continue our vital work and provide assistance and hope to those who need it most. Thank you for standing with us and the survivors we serve.
